Global Program for Innovation and Digital Development Support
The Global Program for Innovation and Digital Development Support is the programmatic framework through which the World Association for Development (WAD) structures its action in favour of digital transformation, technological innovation, and the development of digital capacities. It aims to support States, institutions, and economic actors in the strengthening of digital systems, the improvement of access to technologies, and the consolidation of more inclusive and high-performing innovation ecosystems.
This Program intervenes notably in the areas of digital infrastructure, connectivity, technological innovation, digital skills, digital governance, the digital economy, and cybersecurity. Its approach promotes integrated interventions designed to strengthen institutional and technological capacities, support innovation dynamics, and durably accompany the digital transformation of territories and organisations.
Aligned with the principal international frameworks relating to innovation, the digital economy, and sustainable development, notably the Sustainable Development Goals linked to innovation, infrastructure, and the reduction of inequalities, the Global Program for Innovation and Digital Development Support constitutes a strategic framework designed to promote digital systems that are more accessible, resilient, and capable of supporting sustainable economic, institutional, and social transformation.
