Global Program for Scientific Research Support

The Global Program for Scientific Research Support is the programmatic framework through which the World Association for Development (WAD) structures its action in favour of scientific development, innovation, and knowledge valorisation. It aims to support States, universities, research centres, and scientific actors in the strengthening of research capacities and the transformation of scientific outputs into concrete solutions in the service of sustainable development.

This Program intervenes notably in the areas of applied research, scientific infrastructure, technological innovation, technology transfer, scientific cooperation, and the valorisation of research results. Its approach promotes integrated interventions designed to strengthen scientific systems, support the maturation of innovations, and foster the operationalisation of research work across economic, social, environmental, and technological sectors.

In many contexts, promising scientific research and innovations struggle to translate into operational outcomes due to a lack of appropriate mechanisms for accompaniment, valorisation, or application. The Global Program for Scientific Research Support thus contributes to strengthening the bridges between scientific production, innovation, and concrete applications, in order to promote scientific systems capable of sustainably responding to the needs of populations, territories, and economies.
