Areas of Intervention
Where We Work
WAD operates in several essential areas of sustainable human development, all aimed at improving the living conditions of peoples.
Education, Health, and Human Development
We support access to education, training, healthcare, and essential social services to enable children, young people, women, families, and communities to live in better conditions, develop their capacities, and build a more dignified and sustainable future.
Gender, Social Inclusion, and Protection
We act to reduce inequalities, combat exclusion, and protect the most vulnerable people. Special attention is given to women, young people, children, marginalized individuals, and groups exposed to discrimination.
Employability and Inclusive Finance
We support populations in skills development, access to employment, creation of economic activities, and strengthening their financial autonomy, by supporting young people, women, and communities.
Food Security and Agriculture
We support rural communities in improving food production, modernizing agricultural practices, protecting livelihoods, and strengthening food security.
Climate and Ecological Transition
We act to preserve the environment, protect natural resources, strengthen the resilience of territories, and encourage more sustainable practices in the face of climate change effects.
Water, hygiene and sanitation
We support access to drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation, which are essential conditions for health, dignity, and quality of life, particularly in the most vulnerable areas.
Technologies and Innovation
We encourage access to digital tools, development of digital skills, and use of innovation to serve development, in order to reduce technological inequalities.
Governance and Social Cohesion
We support institutions, communities, and local actors in strengthening governance, dialogue, peace, and social cohesion, to support more stable and supportive societies.
