Global Program for Public Administration Development Support

The Global Program for Public Administration Development Support is the programmatic framework through which the World Association for Development (WAD) structures its action in favour of institutional capacity-building, administrative modernisation, and the improvement of public governance. It aims to support States and public institutions in the development of administrations that are more effective, accessible, transparent, and capable of sustainably responding to the needs of populations.

The Program intervenes notably in the areas of administrative systems modernisation, the digital transformation of public administrations, institutional capacity-building, territorial governance, public management, and the development of administrative competencies. Its approach promotes integrated interventions designed to improve the quality of public services, institutional coordination, and the effectiveness of public action.

Aligned with international frameworks relating to public governance and institutional development, notably Sustainable Development Goal 16 dedicated to effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions, the Global Program for Public Administration Development Support constitutes a strategic framework designed to support public administrations that are more high-performing, resilient, and adapted to contemporary economic, social, and technological transformations.
