Open World Education: Opening the Doors of Education to Tomorrow’s Talents.
Supporting excellence pathways so that every young talent can pursue their education, regardless of their economic circumstances.
Education is one of the most decisive investments for breaking the cycle of poverty and preparing the foundations for sustainable development. Through Open World Education, the World Association for Development (AMD) supports talented pupils and students from low-income families, so that economic difficulties do not compromise the continuity of their educational or university journey.
Each year, AMD identifies young people who stand out through their academic performance, commitment and potential. Despite their achievements, some are at risk of suspending or abandoning their studies due to insufficient resources. The programme aims to preserve these promising educational pathways and create the conditions necessary for the full development of their abilities.
To address these needs, AMD facilitates access to scholarships by mobilizing institutions, foundations, companies, philanthropists and other partners committed to education. The Association complements this support with appropriate socio-educational assistance designed to support beneficiaries’ progress, stability in their studies and personal development.
Open World Education also encourages the creation of a solidarity community around young talents. Educational institutions, technical and financial partners, as well as private-sector stakeholders, are brought together through a common dynamic that helps connect learners’ needs with available resources and open up new educational and training opportunities.
The support mobilized enables beneficiaries to continue their studies under more favourable conditions, reduce the risk of interruption and devote more energy to their academic success. By securing the continuity of their educational pathways, the programme contributes to the emergence of stronger academic trajectories and prepares young people who can later place their knowledge, skills and initiative at the service of society.
Beyond the support provided to each learner, the programme promotes equal opportunities and human capital development. By enabling deserving young people to access quality education regardless of their family’s financial resources, it contributes to the development of future professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers and leaders capable of contributing to the transformation of their communities and countries.
Through Open World Education, the World Association for Development affirms that a young person’s potential should not be limited by their economic circumstances. AMD intends to continue mobilizing partners and resources to expand access to education, support excellence pathways and create more equitable opportunities for future generations.
